NEVADA STATE RAILROAD MUSEUM BOULDER CITY ANNOUNCES PLANNED EXPANSION
Boulder City – The Division of Museums and History has announced plans for expansion of facilities and experiences the Nevada State Railroad Museum, Boulder City. First opened in 2001, the museum has seen attendance explode from 2,000 visitors the first year to now an average of 40,000 per year. Now, with the new rail bridge over I-11 at Railroad Pass completed and in service the museum can expand its heritage train rides and offer new experiences and destinations. The current facilities at the museum cannot handle demand. Working in partnership with the City of Boulder City and the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, design for the first of three planned phases of expansion are being completed.
