VOLUNTEERING AT THE NEVADA STATE RAILROAD MUSEUM
OPPORTUNITIES:
Volunteer memberships are your way to help preserve and participate in Southern Nevada’s railroad history while having a fun time! From selling tickets and leading tours to operating and maintaining our railroad equipment, volunteers involved in nearly every aspect of the museum’s daily operations. We are always looking for new volunteers to help!
We have opportunities across all different boundaries, from story tellers to outreach specialists. Our most common positions are listed below:
Docents
Ticket Office sales
Gift Shop sales
Train Crew
Live Steamers
Model Railroaders
Maintenance Shop Crew
MEMBER BENEFITS:
Volunteer memberships are offered by the Friends of the Nevada Southern for inviduals who volunteer two hours per month. Benefits of a volunteer membership include:
Unlimited Train Rides for the Year
(Excluding Special Events and Santa Train, unless on Volunteer Crew)
15% Discount on purchases in our Gift Shop

REQUIREMENTS:
Age Requirement: 16 Years or Older
Complete a Volunteer Application
Annual Safety Training and Test for operating crews
